There have been a few people who have come forward indicating interest in being trained as ChristCare Leaders. I’m glad that people are seeing what tremendous possibilities this ministry system has for our congregation.
These people will go through 40 hours of training to help make their small groups as effective and life-transforming as possible. They will learn what makes a strong small group, hone their leadership skills, and discover the joy of being a more disciple of Jesus.
Think about how you want to be involved in this emerging ministry!

Update
Liz Rossnagel and I would like to thank you for the wonderful opportunity to attend the ChristCare Equipper’s Training Course in St. Louis. It was an EXCELLENT event. I can’t say enough about the quality of this program and the training involved. We were taken through the ChristCare Small Group Ministry system and learned how it fits into a congregation’s life.
Now the real work begins. Consider how you might become involved in this new and exciting ministry – as a ChristCare Leader or ChristCare Group member. Regardless of your other involvement, please be in prayer. Ask God to guide, bless, inspire, and control our ChristCare Group Ministry so that all we do may bring glory to Jesus.

Home at Last!
It’s great to be back in Lethbridge! The Equipper’s Training Course was excellent but exhausting. But I’ve started recruiting folks as ChristCare Leaders, and hope that others will see the great possibilities for this ministry system for our church and their lives.

ETC: Day Three
It’s Day Three in St. Louis. It’s been raining almost constantly since we arrived. The moisture is turning the leaves and green and vibrant green and the humidity is wrapping everything in its warm embrace. Living in Lethbridge over the past couple years made me forget how wonderful humidity can feel in the spring.
Today’s highlight has been the Biblical Equipping component. The eight steps of studying scripture and using it in our lives is an excellent way to think about how we use the bible.
I haven’t been sleeping well; like a rock, no dreams and I still feel tired when I wake up. Hopefully, tonight will be my lucky night. I want lots of rest so I can process all this wonderful information well.

Welcome!
This blog was set up to discuss the ChristCare Series small group ministry system at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. This is a new venture for us and we are excited about the ministry possibilities this program has to offer.
Check back often to see how we're doing!
